this argument - that an LSD is a waste of money for the street - comes up every now and then and makes sense on its face. however, it ignores the fact that we're buying a sports/sporty car instead of a camry (and spending a lot more money to do it) because we all want to have fun when we're driving. the LSD makes a fun car more fun. how much more fun? is that extra fun worth the extra expense? completely subjective.

I wouldn't say its a waste of money, just of questionable value. That is to say, you probably won't get much use out of it on the street. Any way you slice it, you've got an LSD though, so absolutely not a waste.
Same could be said about driving an M3, but to hell with value!
