In Austria we stayed in Salzburg, went to the fortress and did a day trip to Hallstatt. The drive to Hallstatt was amazing and the town was beautiful. We did see the castles in Fussen. I suppose there is always next time. I heard about Eagle's Nest the last time i went so we planned it for this time. Unfortunately it was raining. My lady friend wants to do ED for an M2 in 1.5 years so maybe then . 
I'll create a thread about my trip soon. I used up 2 x 32gb cards for pictures and video so it'll take a while. Lol

Just got back home from Paris. You will absolutely love Eagle nest. I hope the weather is better next time around so you can experience it. And with an M2 ED it can't get much better than that.
I am also planning an M2 ED in 3 years just before my lease is up. Hopefully there is a pull ahead I can take advantage of
