To put things into perspective, this is about 100 lbs heavier than an f30 328i. 100 lbs of blubber on a smaller frame and 2 less doors! And if you have a passenger riding with you in the M235i, it's a lot HEAVIER than a nicely equipped f30 335.
M235i - 3500 lbs
328i - 3406 lbs
335i - 3571 lbs

They are doing an excellent job at hyping up their products, and they do not have that much to work with. They have to get creative. The older generation of BMW marketers had it much easier. The cars pretty much sold themselves.
