For the record, I don't have a BMW (yet), and you're right-- a lot of the wear depends on the owner. But I have already seen (and started a different thread about) a lot of brand new 2 Series being delivered with a little too much loose rippling in the leather for comfort. If it's delivered like that, there's likely only so much that good maintenance can do to prevent worsening over time.

Either way, I'd love to at least have an alcantara option.
