If history is any indication, no--we have only ever received the 1er coupe. Since the 2er coupe is now on the way, I think that will be the "entry" level vehicle choice for now.
It will be interesting to see what they do with the 1er when it goes FWD, and whether they decide to bring that over here.
The prevailing logic had previously been that no one would spend 35K on a 5 door 1er when they can get a Golf, WRX, Evo, etc for much less than that. We shall see...
