I wouldn’t. I know what you mean about the transmission thing, but man, a ten year old M car is going to cost so much more in maintenance and gas. You can cheaply and easily make the M240i substantially faster, but it will NEVER sound as good as the e9x, nor will it rev to the stars. And damn, I thought the 2 Series had a drab interior, but that M3 is worse. I’m sure the M3 is much more exciting and rewarding at the limit.
