For me, I think there are four essential pieces of information that should be available at a glance on the cluster. Especially on a high performance car, but applies to any. Speed, RPM, Temp, and Fuel.

Some bean counter just decided "our customers don't care about that" and decided to delete it for no good reason. How much does a temp gauge cost? $2?

I was just pointing out how I looked at it - it is funny you mention bean counters too - in my original review of going from the E82 to F22, I said something almost exactly like that.

I also like to know when the oil is hot enough so that I can rev the engine freely - I don't rev the shit out of my Duc until it hits two dots on the temp gauge, same concept here...so trust me, we are in alignment for the need of this information.

My guess is that it will "appear" in future MYs of the car...much like the original temp gauge in the N54s went from 210 in the middle to 250 or something like that...
