I take back what I said. After some more research, it's clear there's an issue with the BMS intake. Lots of people (F22/23/30) have reported the same issue and BMS has reportedly been working on a fix since 2014. LOL Clearly the MAF and DME (cold starts) doesn't like extra flow and/or low speed turbulence across the MAF at lower rpms. Late model WRX owners have very similar issues when running aftermarket intakes. The solution is to use a device (essentially a screen) to straighten the air flow in the area of the MAF.
