yeah, it is somewhat confusing -- several members with HK audio have disconnected their center speakers, but none reported that ASD was turned off, so that's consistent with your experience

BTW, during my commute today on the highway, I switched from comfort to sport and back several times (at about 60 - 65 mph). All I noticed was a rpm increase (or decrease when going from comfort -> sport) and a mild growl that accompanied it -- seemed quite different from the over-the-top engine growl that I used to get previously when I moved from comfort -> sport. Looks like ASD has indeed been turned off.

I'll turn muting off in the ASD ECU in Rheingold and test to see if the loud artificial growl is back.
