BMW is tempted to follow the competitors trend of cheaper FWD cars, but in reality sales it's not only about the price for the consumer, it's about value. And honestly, Audi is wining in the Design department, also their cars are getting impressively faster with less powerful engines. BMW has not even put full LED tail lights and its already considering throwing out RWD. They can play a different game, and they have to start with exquisite design, from the entrance models to the flagship models.

Maybe regular john can't tell if a 1 Series is RWD and an A3 is FWD, but probably he can see the exterior of both and guess which one may be superior.

Which one looks faster/more expensive/more attractive, the S3 sedan or the M235i?
The M235i is $57,190 and the S3 sedan is $50,030 USD where I live, mandatory equipped with pretty much everything.
