I'd say we simply don't know yet if one will appear, it certainly hasn't been confirmed nor denied. Same with the M2, except the desire was stated by M to create one.

Perhaps if enough people purchase the M235, they will have the justification they need for an M2...plus they had the overwhelming positive experience of the 1M, both from a sales and review perspective.

I remain hopeful for an M2...but when they go out of their way to say the M235 is "faster" around the ring, it just hints at something else, at least to me
