I agree. But the new generation is broke and can't see farther than a $1 dollar bill. Fact most live with their parent$ and practically speaking will not be moving out anytime in the near future.
I have my own house and am paying for my own wedding. I also owe nothing on a single credit card and have less than $3,000 on a line of credit. (That I could pay off, but the interest was so low it doesn't matter).

I beg to differ about your statement. Many of my friends are in similar situations and are extremely similar in age. (24-27)
