Also worth mentioning is Audi's AWD system is more superior and sportier compared to BMWs XDrive.

Plus, the S3 comes with a better transmission (double-clutch).
Audi's awd setup on cars with longitudinal motors is better than xDrive. But xDrive is better and more rwd biased than the Haldex that the transverse setup of the S3 requires. Find pics of how small the rear drive shafts for the S3 or mechanically identical Golf R are.
