Older thread I know, but I've had this same issue. My seatbelt has gotten tangled/twisted and turned around backward inside the B-pillar 3x in the 10 months I've had my car. Each time I take it to the dealer and they fix it in 30 min or less. They say it is just a "design flaw" and they can't do anything other than untangle it when it happens. I find it concerning that they can't/won't do anything more when it is a safety issue. There have been times when I've driven around for a week with no seatbelt because the belt is pulled so far out that it wouldn't keep in my seat and it won't retract. Any ideas or experiences with this?
