Au contrary, metallic paint is easier to match and it does not fade like non-metallic. You just need to respect the technique, the way is applied and blend properly the clear coat. The metallic flakes have to be
oriented a certain way or it doesn't match the car. So, is the painter who is not able to match the color, not the metallic components in it.
Metallic paint holds up much better and is more resistant to fading than standard flat color paints. Non metallic paint fade very fast since they don't have metallic particles to reflect the sun.
