It all depends if the dealer already has allocation that hasn't been spoken for, and sufficiently prior to production start (a couple weeks I think) that you can configure. When I ordered mine at the end of Sept, they had 3 on allocation, but only 2 were configurable (Oct production start). I grabbed one slated for Oct; it went into production 2nd or 3rd week in Oct, left Bremehaven Nov 9, reached Port Hueneme (San Diego) Dec 3, and is now at the dealer waiting for me to pick up next week.
The transport time depends on route of the ship you end up on, the route it takes, and which port serves your region. It ranges from 4-6 weeks from end of production to delivery. Production time is 1-2 weeks I think.
I also read another poster who order early Aug, and only picked up this or last week.
