My previous car was an '07 with a 2.3L DI Turbo motor rated with 263hp @ the crank (I think it had around 300hp @ the crank before I sold it). I had to be really diligent in order to get 23mpg out of a tank.

So yeah...I find it pretty amazing, too, considering the 70's/80's cars of my youth.
