Woahhh....that just blew my mind. This is the M240i Racing Cup, but they are still using the N55B30T0 engines instead of the B58. Just checked the specs on the BMW website and they don't list the engine name but all of the specs seem to match up to an N55. And that engine bay shot was definitely an N55. Guess the B58 wasn't tested enough to be ready for the Racing Cup.
But to your comment, yes, this is the same N55 in the M235i. It just gets the larger oil pan and dual sumps that the M2 later inherited from the M235i Racing. Stock ZF8 transmission as well.
