I agree.
In all the cars that I’ve owned in my lifetime, only twice have I purchased more than one car from the same company: VAG (not even the same brand), and BMW.
Sometimes I changed because I had a bad experience with a car. Other times I would have purchased again from a company that treated me well, but it no longer offered a model that matched what I wanted to buy.
I almost did not buy my new BMW this year, because my first choice was a wagon to replace my BMW wagon, and BMW no longer imports wagons to the U.S. My second choice was a hatchback equivalent to a wagon, but I couldn’t find an M440xi Gran Coupe with the options that I want. I did consider an S5, VW Arteon, etc.
I decided that I like the X3 M40i enough to purchase it. But I’m not fond of SUVs in general. That notwithstanding, so far so good.
