#4 should should be dropped off the bat. Lot of those type of products are made to swell the gasket or sealant and I think it's a bad idea.
The techs should be able to dial into the cause. Sometimes the oil is so saturating the area it very difficult to find the origin. The next time you go in they may be able to know exactly.
I don't know enough about these drivetrains to add anything
