admittedly, i poo-pooed all the fuss guys make over the sound of the car, but i'm getting on board after 18 months of ownership.
are there any performance exhausts for the 228i that only require OEM muffler replacement? i really want to minimize moving too far aware from stock. i may eventually get a cold-air intake with a mild piggyback, but probably won't do much else to the exhaust. i don't want any burbles and pops, and definitely no persistent loud droning...

Active Autowerke signature exhaust is good to go with. I'm very happy with it, solid sound. It only requires cutting of the OEM pipe.
