Using the kinks in the rear light clusters as a go-by and comparing the M235i and M2 rear views, My findings so far are as follows:-

1. an M235i quad spacing is wider than M2 quad set up.
   
2. Using a aftermarket m235i quad diffuser would mean that cutouts would too far apart for M2 exhaust retrofit.
   
3. It could work if you elongated both the existing outlets on an m235i diffuser inwards to suit the M2 quads.
