There's a difference between brake feel and brake performance! The reviewer explicitly noted that while the BMW stopped shorter in some of the tests, the brake feel wasn't as good. Both Lieberman and Pobst went to great lengths to explain this
in detail, but all anyone can do is point out the inconsistency that was already noted. It's subjective! The BMW has more uptake before you begin to get braking, and doesn't feel as good once you do. It's not like they called your mother something unkind.
It was disappointing that they didn't point out the price differential in greater detail. The CLA 45 AMG they tested was a $60k car. Holy shit! That's a lot of coin for an "entry level" AMG. Even the base car is $4350 more expensive. The M235i tops out in the low $50k range, even when you pile on the options, so the spread is even greater when you buy the car that you want.
