You'll have to report back on quickness once break-in is done. Speaking of which, is the break-in recommendation the same as with other BMWs? When I had my test drive, the salesperson said there was no recommended break-in period and told me to hammer it. I forgot to look at the usual break-in sticker on the windshield, and who was I to argue?
You know, I am not sure about that - typical BMW break in is > 4K RPM for the first 1200 miles, and no "flooring" it. I will check the manual and report back!
