Sure dimensions are similar, but chassis design could be totally different and likely will see upgraded components.
More to the point, All M cars start as BMW models first, with improved components, brakes, shocks, light weight materials, higher output motors etc.
They are not a design onto themselves, but rather an evolutionary improvement of the base series, meant primarily for track.
There is no way for you to know..."it doesn't have the development nor the uniqueness to be one" without knowing the details of the components that total the sum of the car.
