Sorry if others already commented on this but the weight comparison is misleading. You have put the US unladen weight of the E82 135i while the M235i weight is DIN norm, means without driver and luggage. I believe at 1470 kg. DIN M235i (auto) is only 25 kg. lighter than a 1M, manual version is 40 kg. lighter, and there is almost zero weight difference between a 135i and M235i (only in US 135i was quoted heavier than 1M due to standard equipment differences, in EU 135i was slightly lighter than 1M).
I saw nothing new or really unexpected among the specs, very small power bump and 0.1 sec. faster to 100 km/h in comparison to M135i, probably advertising figures to keep it on top of the hatch sister model.
