The M2 is a car that will aim to repeat the same successful formula as the 1er M Coupe by being the "entry" ladder to the M Division but with a reduction in weight and not as limited this time around.

Scott, can you share more regarding the M2, specifically what choice of powerplant is envisioned (e.g. high strung 4-cyl, or a variant of the M135i's 6-Cyl, or perhaps a detuned M3/M4 I-6 TT), areas where such weight savings will be achieved (I imagine CF roof, aluminum suspension, perhaps any CFRP trim and lessons leartned from the CRT?), choice of transmissions, and lastly targetted launch date?
